Hey all,
I haven't seen a forum for the LBCC Fall 2021 ADN cohort yet, so I decided to create one! I understand it's an extremely competitive lottery system, but I thought we can use this forum to ask questions, share stats, and/or talk about the application process.
According to past selections, there are usually 500-1500 applicants and only around 40 are given a spot. 20 people will be listed as alternates.
I will be applying with:
Life Sciences GPA: 4.0
English & Math GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA (I'm not sure if they look at this but..): 3.91
I took the TEAS twice (for other schools), but for my first try, I scored 81.3.
Good luck to everyone applying! Feel free to comment anything below.

Congrats to everyone that made it! Does “provisional acceptance” mean you got accepted into the program or does it mean you passed the requirements and now you’re competing w people using TEAS scores?
I believe so! It’s kinda of annoying they didn’t provide any other info in the acceptance email besides an orientation date

Aw man. And I know right. I got too excited cause the email said provisional acceptance and at the bottom of the email it says “welcome to LBCC ADN nursing program”, so I’m still confused. I don’t want to get my hopes up if it’s not final yet, but we’ll see soon!

I think it’s still contingent on us passing the TEAS. But if you already have taken it I think we are good. Do we have to send them like official transcripts though?

I think we do! If you have taken the TEAS they are requesting official scores to be sent from ATI. I have taken mine so I will be sending my transcript probably by today.

I think, at least from how I understand what's written on the website, we have to take the TEAS or submit our official scores and we have to pass with at least a 62% to proceed with the program..
On the website it says:
"After acceptance into the nursing program, students must pass the TEAS test with a 62% or higher on their first attempt", so I am assuming this means we are in the program, although we still have to pass the TEAS. IDK if this makes sense but hopefully during the orientation we find out! ?
Also, congratulations!
