Hello everyone! I wanted to start this thread to keep each other updated on the Fall 2023 Cohort at LBCC. This is my 4th time applying and hoping for the BEST. All in GODs Timing. ?

Yea, I did. My friend had received the email stating she was moving to the second phase and then received her denial. I waited and still nothing, I emailed M, Smith the coordinator and he said the system had a glitch. Then S, Sexton sent an email stating many applicants had been emailing her about the situation and the system had a glitch but it's considered a denial and to apply again next cycle. Hoping this does not happen to me again! ?

Wow thats kinda messed up tht they wouldnt honor your application eventho it's their glitch.

It happened to a few other people as well, but by then they had already done the lottery so it was too late. We will see this time around though.

They just sent me an e-mail regarding their initial decisions! Go check your e-mails guys!!

What did yours say? I just checked mine and did not receive anything.

It's about moving onto the next stage of the admissions process. I believe it's still being sent so might take a bit of time.

Congrats! I got an email saying there's a lot of people that applied and I was not selected to move forward. I feel bummed. Was it my stats or was it random?

Hey! I also got a rejection email. I think it was by random because the LBCC website states: "We accept applications and make selections twice a year. You may re-apply if you are not selected. Only overall and life sciences GPAs are considered when we make selections. We choose 50% of our students from those with a GPA of 3.5 to 4.0, 25% from those with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 and 25% from students with a GPA of 2.5 to 3.0. We accept 40 students and 20 alternates each semester.” Don't feel too let down, we will have an opportunity of our own some other time! Good luck!

it's definitely random. this was my 3rd time applying. First time, I got into the next round and 2nd time I didn't get invited.
