2015 Lonestar spring hopefuls.

Hi there everyone. I'm one of the 2015 hopefuls for lonestar. Just wondering if anyone has any information on application datelines for 2015 spring. The school sites don't happen to have that info(unless, I am missing something). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Hi @Chrstian Orion. I'm Vilma and I have also applied to the Kingwood ADN Spring 2015 program. I spoke to Valerie about 1 month ago and she also told me that the cutoff last year was 11.2. Let's see what happens this time around. I hope we all get in!! Good Luck!

Hi Everyone, I have not been on here in a while. Quick Intro.. I applied last year and was an alternate to Kingwood at a 9.8 .. I reapplied in July again for this time around. My score this time is 11.49 with taking the HESI once. Really hoping I get in this time. I went ahead and got all pre-req out of the way for the BSN since I didnt make it last year. I am taking PHARM this semester online at Kingwood. Are any of ya'll in the class?

How did you get into Pharmacology? I tried to register for a class this fall and it said I needed department approval. I am trying to self teach myself so when I do get accepted I wont feel overwhelmed. Do you know if anyone offers it as a minimester?

Hey! I haven't been on here in awhile either. I am also taking Pharm online at Kingwood this semester. How are you liking the class? I went ahead and retook my HESI. Now I have a 11.65. I also applied to UTHealth School of Nursing located in the medical center and Texas Women's University.

Hey everyone! After reading "most" of these posts, i decided to register :) It's nice they have these threads so that we're able to share our excitement, anticipation, and nervousness with others going through the same thing because friends and family can't always relate lol I applied a while back with an 11.4668 score with Kingwood being my 1st choice and Cyfair as 2nd. I struggled with my hesi but finally passed it, thank God!! I am soooooo nervous and after reading all the other comments, I'm even more nervous now!! Seems as though time has been going by so slowwww since i applied and the wait is killing me!!!!! Good luck to all those who have applied!!! I'm praying for everyone!!! I did have a couple of questions though.. 1) Are we supposed to have the CPR or the BLS done prior to the application deadline??? how much is it and how long does it take to complete??

hey Crystal!.. I feel the same way.. is still so nice to be able to vent with other people that understands what your feeling since they r on the same page as u.. as far of the BLS - CPR... what I read so far in this forum from people that is already on the program is that you can get ur CPR, BUT in the long run once you start clinical in the hospital setting u need the BLS... now both certifications r good for 2yrs.. (so might as well spend your money only once;)) depending where you go is the price you pay, (it has to be an AHA authorized place for the BLS) 30 to 60 I would say... the class is only a couple of hrs long or depending how many ppl is in the class (they gotta make sure everyone knows how to do things) plus there is a little quiz at the end that pretty much reviews the whole class (nothing to worry about).. and like Amood60 said you need to get it after you receive ur acceptance... I have to renew my BLS since is up this December.. I got nime 2yrs ago from a place in SW.. if u r interested is Instruction instructor ACLS PALS CPR BLS Heartsaver EKG HOUSTON TEXAS TX I hope this helps!:yes:
