Both tops and 1 botton are Jockey, and the other botton is New Balance. I didn't want to spend a lot buying expensive brands but didn't like the quality of their own brand either.. so I just looked around where they have the printed tops and found solid tops and bottoms of several brands that were on sale. They lady said I got some good deals

Does anyone know what colors are required for clinicals? I kind of don't see the point in (for example) buying purple scrubs now, just to buy blue (for example) for clinicals next semester. And one more question has anyone bought the "Fund of Nursing (w/Taylor's Clinical Nursing Skills 3rd)" for 1105 yet?

I have been checking book on amazon and the only thing that worries me is the seller doesn't state if the books come with CD/ access code. I found that on amazon, some books are 1/2 the price of the college bookstore. Any suggestion ?

what color scrubs did you buuy? my scrubs have a different color outline around the neck and the string that ties around the back. i hope that's okay.

My scrubs are one blue and the other one turquoise. I have no idea about the color we're suppose to use for clinicals on summer. I know Ms. Haegel mentioned something about black, but I think she said the're going to change the color.

And guys I recommend you to look for Fundamentals of Nursing and Taylor's Clinical separately and using two different ISBN instead of looking for the whole package, so you can find something cheaper.

If you look for Fundamentals on Amazon, you'll find one book at $100 (used) that comes with CD. But you should also look at the box that is below the prices located in the main page where amazon shows their price and the prices from other sellers (it says Formats on it) and click where you see "Used from $71", go there and then to the 2nd page. There are 2 people that are selling the book with CD included at $90.

And she said we have to wear scrubs for the lab only.... and I think she mentioned we have lab Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday which means Friday is the only day we can wear regular clothes.

There are no Taylor books listed in my list for that class, is it read the book titled Taylor? or by the Author Taylor?

Only three textbooks have Access Codes that we will need and use right?

@thehopeful Taylor is the author of Fundamentals of Nursing and there is a book also with that name on the title "Taylor's Clinical Nursing Skills" by Lynn, so when they say read Taylor it means we have to read Fund. of Nursing.

For RNSG1209, the nutrition book. I was thinking of buying the older edition ( 5th instead of 6th). The older edition is 0.97 cents where the 6th edition is 30.00. I don't think it will make that much of a difference right?

@hope, i think the nutrition book comes with an access code, maybe if you ask them if an older edition is okay and if you can find a current online access code online that you can buy separately - maybe it will be okay?

an older nursing student has the health assessment book we need and is letting me borrow it but i think i'm going to have to find an online access code to purchase separately as well since she used hers.

she also has old edition books that are not current that i might not use because questions in the book arent the same as the new editions.

email the nursing director and ask her? i emailed her about this topic but i haven't gotten a reply yet.

My notes from orientation say that scrubs are black for clinicals because it is the one color the hospitals haven't changed. Also I encourage everyone to join the facebook group. :)
