Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

I think the process is designed around those that will just breeze through. I think that even those people have some frustrating moments though. If it's any consolation Jenn, the director at the woodlands said she needed the blue card or the copy of the letter from them saying you were cleared. I emailed Valerie twice about some other stuff and haven't heard back either so I was thinking she was maybe on vacation.

I have been going back n forth with Valerie for awhile and still have not gotten a clear answer from her on if I am cleared on my background check or not??? I received my letter from the BON and she said that if you receive a letter you will not receive a blue card....So should I just upload my letter from the BON?

jennjenn0205 there is a place to upload your DO. It is under Background check, number 17. on the list.

I don't see where to upload the background check either. My number 17 is the Confidentiality Statement.

I don't recall seeing a spot to upload he blue card or bon. When I get home I will check.

yea Valerie told me today that I wont upload it on the website....She finally confirmed that my background check is in fact complete and I do not need to repeat it....Yea baby only waiting on my titers to come back and getting my skin test read tomorrow....Finally things are piecing together

Maybe it will be closer to Dec. after the deadline ........ Wouldn't that be an awesome Christmas present!

I think that expecting to hear something closer to the deadline seems reasonable. The only way spots would be available now is if someone gave up theirs. Maybe once they see who doesn't complete their stuff they will be able to offer some of you spots!! Stay positive!!!

hey when yall did your back ground check through certifiedbackground.com did yall order a badge too? Is that what the blue card is?

A badge!? If you are talking about the one mentioned at orientation I believe they said we would get then at the orientation on January 10th. The blue card is what the state board of nursing sends you once you have been cleared by them. It will actually be blue and will come in the mail.
