Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

I will miss being on here
There is still some very good info on here. I like to follow recent grads and see their tips on getting hired etc. NCLEX suggestion too. Stay warm out and safe out there today.

Do I have to be added to the Facebook page? I have no clue how to get on it.
Use should be able to just follow the link and then "like" the page. The group is open now and she is going to close it once everyone signs up. https://www.facebook.com/KingwoodRN2015
Ok thanks

I am freaking out!!!!!! I have been accepted to Lone Star's program twice, but could not start due to issues with the Texas Board of Nursing. Now here I am again, except this time those issues have been taken care of (thank the Good Lord). Ironically, I've run into another problem: Maximum timeframe suspension. I know I will be accepted again, but I am stressed out about this whole appeals process. I don't have a degree, but have 100 plus credit hours, after satisfying requirements for the universities while I waited on the Board of Nursing. My first appeal was denied, and I haven't appealed the decision because i wanted to wait until I received the letter of acceptance from the program. Anybody familiar with this process? If so, how did it work out for you? I have a cousin who is in the same predicament, and any info you can provide would help the both of us. Thanks in advance.
The same happened to me. It seem like it's one step foward and two steps back. I waiting to file my second appeal too. I have been trying to research and find discussion threads, etc, to help win the appeal but from what I've read so far........it doesn't look good.
What a bummer!!! Now that I'm so close, here's another hurdle. Worst case scenario, I'll have to save up some money from working before the program starts to pay for my classes, but it's like gosh!
