lonestar nursing 2014 hopeful

Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Luckily, all if not most of our concerns will be addressed tomorrow :) I haven't even purchased the books yet and may not be able to until next Friday so I'm not sure what ill do about the first week of readings. I may ask them which ones ill need for next week and just get those, even if it means I forgo the bundle.

Make sure you guys do the d2l online orientation. We got Our first email from an instructor. It feels real now.

No email here either....D2L is another learning software that Lone Star is using to one day replace or work along with ANGEL. If you have not taken a online course thru D2L than you will be required to do the orientation. I would not worry about that now it's no big deal just do it before you access your online course if you even have a online course this semester with D2L. I had a class thru that system last summer and it took a little while getting use to but I like more now than ANGEL

I'm so confused about the whole book deal. I couldn't find the prepu deal in my book box either. I emailed the book rep lady that was at orientation and she never responded. Which in turn has me losing faith in her credibility. She clearly said "do not hesitate to email me as I always respond. It might be three in the morning but I will respond." Blah, blah, blah...nothing but lies. I hope they clear it up at the meeting tomorrow. As for attire, I'm planning on wearing jeans. I figured if they wanted us in scrubs they would have said something.

Gosh, the impression I got from her was that she was going to be in contact with us for any questions that may of arise. Really didn't think I would need to contact her at last orientation but she made it seem as though she was very reliable. I can not stand those sort of things. If she knows she is crappy about getting back with people, why tell people not to hesitate over and over again about emailing you

Oh. I don't have any online classes. Whew. I already took pharm. I'm guessing some of you are taking that.

Well I do not mind sharing if you have the same schedule as me. Because I do not have one of my books for Pharmacology so needing a nice person to help me out on that one till it comes in the mail
