Check out AHA CPR and First Aid Classes Daily - Houston - 281-882-3659. The class is held in a residential area though. The instructor has built a classroom on hrer property. My friends all went there so I tried it...$30 and 3 hours later I was walking out with my AHA BLS card in hand.

That's so far south but 30 dollars is hard to pass up... I was looking up places here and looks like they are pricey (75) and some you even have to purchase the book.... I may drive down to that one even if it is far.

I got my blue background check card in mail today also..

Does getting the blue background check card in the mail mean that you've been accepted? Or does everyone get one??

What blue background check card are you talking about? Was that something we all needed to do, or is it something with the DO?

In the woodlands I know the fire statins do them and I think the rec center

The people that have your blue cards---- are you all licensed already or have done a DO--- correct? I was under the assumption if I am neither that I would have to complete one and do fingerprints after I am accepted.

I think everyone gets a blue background card. The emails should be coming soon. When we apply, they run a background check. The blue card just states your cleared.
