Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

Montgomery students, how did your orientation go?? The first orientation for us North Harris students isn't until May 15th. I can't wait!

It took 4 hours lol but overall we got info on our textbooks and what classes to register for. We only have to wear our white and teal scrubs to clinicals and can wear any color to labs which is nice. We did get assigned 26 chapters to read before the first day of class in July but honestly I'm super excited!!!

Congrats Montgomery students, Cyfair has to wait until July for orientation which is torture

Thats how I feel. We have to wait till July unfortunately. I moved from San Marcos and I've heard things about the cyfair program and now im feeling overwhelmed. And the program has not even started yet. Can someone please give me some info about the school.

I wonder if any alternates from Montgomery have been called? At orientation they made us count off and there was only 36 or 37 I can't remember bc one showed up right after the count and someone else showed up 3 hours late If they take 40 and you have to be present at orientation you would think there are some open spots. And ken ken your score was right under mine so who knows

Our orientation is May 15th! North Harris students should make a plan to meet somewhere before hand or at a certain spot at the hsb building

Spring housewife, are you asking about the LVN program. I have not gotten a called yet, so sad and the program starts next Monday. Last time I check I was 7 on the list.
