Lonestar 2014 Fall Hopefuls!

Published

Ok I know it's very early starting this but I am so excited I couldn't help it! Application period doesn't even start until January! My journey has been a long one and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I am sharing a little of that experience here and I would love to hear from others as well.

I just received my clearance letter from the BON so I am clear to apply in January for North Harris and Montgomery ADN programs, unfortunately I missed Kingwood. At this point I have an 11.1 and I'm about to retake the HESI so we shall see what is in store for me. I'm done with all my pre-reqs for my BSN and I'm so ready to start the next phase of my education and get on with more taking care of people! It's been 25 years since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Twenty years of raising my kids, taking care of soldiers' families and single soldiers and eight years of riding in an ambulance later, I'm ready to follow my dream! Watch me go!

Just tried to call North Harris and no answer. :( I don't know why we are getting such conflicting answers as to when we will be getting our notifications! So frustrating!

No email or letter (mail just came). Maybe tommorrow. Fingers crossed!

Don't loose faith in only have a 6.36 for vn

If your second choice accepts you does the third and fourth choice even consider you? Will we still get a letter or email from them or no?

I think you do but as an alternate position

I think you get two spots somewhere like last semester I was an alternate at cy fair and Kingwood. So if you get accepted at one and are eligible to be an alternate they will put your next choice as long as that school isn't full

My understanding from last years post is that you will only get notices from two campuses. If you get into your first choice that is the only letter you will get. If you get into your second choice you will get a letter from them & then an alternate letter from the first. What confuses me is if you get into your third choice will you be placed on the alternate list for both your first and second choices? Lol who knows. Let's just hope we all get in somewhere!!

Just thought I'd let y'all know that I received my acceptance letter for the LVN to RN transition program at Tomball. I hope this means that all of your acceptance letters are soon to follow! Good luck!

Congrats sunshine that is great news!!

I got accepted as an alternate
