Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a new thread for all of us who will be starting the CyFair program this Fall 2009. Congratulations to all of you!

To those who are on the wait list, don't give up! From what I've read in the previous threads Lonestar does try to get you into their programs! Good luck to everyone!

Thanks for all the info. Did you have to order your scrubs from the BS or were you able to puchase and walk out with them?

I went ahead and purchased 4 patches from the bookstore. I was also informed that they don't have any scrub uniforms for the ADN program. What was sold up until last week was from last semester's order. She told me that they won't order anymore until someone from the Nursing department puts in the order. I don't know how true that is so I plan to call sometime today to see if I'll get the same answer.

They are only taking orders, you pay now and get your scrubs later when the order is delivered. Don't ask me when, they said they would call me when the order was in, they are quite disorganized...

you guys don't need your scrubs until the second semester...they usually tell you when to get them and advised our class not to buy them right away...lots of people don't make it to the second semester on their first attempt

ctgirl43 is right, here is word-for-word an email from ms. monteiro when i told her about the bookstore and scrubs back in the middle of july...

she typed:

you will not need them until next semester when you start clinical so you don't need them now but there may be a deadline for ordering them and i am trying to find that information out for you all. as for ordering them elsewhere, i will also try to find that out. they will have to be the exact same color and ordering from somewhere else, it may be more difficult to do that. when i know more, i will let you know.

I hope I'm the only one that ordered scrubs from mynursinguniforms.com b/c they refunded my money 3 weeks after the order saying they didn't have the orange and navy. Boo!
