LoneStar College Kingwood summer 2012 application period

Anyone else applying this summer to LoneStar-Kingwood for Jan. start? Just trying to see if I could find anyone in the same boat as me! :)

I apologize if there is already a thread for this...I searched and couldn't find one.

So, Im not sure about how many Quest application periods there are, I think only 1/year, but I am wondering about the 20-Quest 2nd degree and 20-Quest transition.....I know in the past they have had trouble filling the transition program, so do they use those spots as 2nd degree, or just not fill them? I think I am just hyped up on sugar.....and wishful thinking, so this is probably not even worth thinking about!!!

Quest is only offered once per year. I had asked that question in the past. There is another thread for last year that talked about the transition program not making and one person who applied was offered a spot in the basic. I'm not sure how the spots are offered though.

I just got my letter from the nursing department...I got in! I had a score of 11.73. I wish everyone who applied the best and look forward to meeting some of you at the orientation meeting!

manders235, CONGRATS!!!! I got accepted as well into Kingwood! Received my letter yesterday in the mail! I applied with a 11.52(correction, I previously stated 11.53). GOOD LUCK 2 EVERYONE ELSE!!!!

Alright so I'm a little confused, when y'all say "Kingwood Basic", are you referring to the Kingwood Traditional 2 year program or the QUEST basic second degree? Lol sorry the titles confuse me! Either way congrats to everyone!!!!!

Ok so i feel like the BIGGEST idiot and I'm Freaking out right now. I feel so stupid and i could really use yalls support and or advice. I have copied and pasted my situation below... Here is an email sent to Valerie at Kingwood concerning my situation:

"Hello,

I am not sure what the quest basic cut off score was, but if it anything between a 9.63 and 10.63 PLEASE READ and PLEASE call me as soon as possible. Attached are 3 documents, my transcripts which have my microbiology and microbiology Lab courses from UTSA (page 4, under Fall 2008), my original score sheet that included this course as taken, which gave me 24 hours (3 out of a possible 4 points on the score sheet under the section of courses completed), and the "corrected" score sheet that did not include my microbiology score. I was given 2 points instead of 3, which gave me a 9.63 instead of a 10.63. I had spoken with you and Dona Spivey about my classes not transferring into the system. My KINE was fixed, however, my microbiology was not. If my corrected score of a 10.63 would have made the cut, please please let me know. Either way if somebody could call me at 832-474-3587 as soon as possible I would really appreciate it!! I am emailing you first because I believe I corresponded with you the most concerning the corrections. I thought I would inform you first to see if there was anything you could do before preceding to take further action. If I could pleas have the cut off score I would appreciate it! Please call me as soon as you can, I happen to be in Houston and I don't mind coming in to get whatever or sign whatever necessary to fix this problem. Please call me! And thank you!"

Do y'all think a 10.63 would have even survived the cut off or am I freaking out over nothing? AH. I bet it's not even good enough... But regardless I can't believe I just caught this!!

Fall 2 0 0 8 came out in a smiley happy face w sunglasses but it supposed to be fall 2 0 0 8 above lol ****
