Lone Star Spring 2021 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

After a long setback (and a little family tragedy) I am ready to apply for Spring 2021. Since there's only two campuses that have Spring entry, is it prudent to apply to both? What I need to do is retake the HESI and wrap up this "A" in A&P 1. Admittedly, my first HESI was prior to taking the actual class (my overall was 89.6%) and I expect to fare better after taking A&P.

I think you are safe. I don't how I got put on the alternative list with a 7.24. LOL. I still think they look at your overall transcript to see your potential to do well in nursing school or not. You can be the one keep repeating a class but you don't get a 2nd chance when you fell a class in nursing school

We got this! I honestly think that application number pool of 1400 is definitely inflated it’s possibly about 127-150 actually with 7.5-8 I think that are real applicants of Spring

So the nursing session mention 1400 applicants?

Just assumed the info session was same thing I attended a year ago... trying so hard not to stress. I’ve done everything I possibly can: submitted my app and now just have to wait and not pass out. ?

Yes but she even said it’s inflated I think she said about 465 with scores of 7.5-8 but that’s not separated from cy fair nor fall applicants

Meaning it could be anywhere from 123-150 actual Spring applicants with real competitive scores

You will be fine stay positive!!?

Anything else they might have mentioned in the info session? Couldn't make it because of work. So 1400 applicants to all campuses?

Thanks Justin I’m trying & you too! So I was at work while listening with lots of background noise and I guess I missed that part. Many of those 1,400 applications are from fall? How does that work??

I can relate bro plus those applications were inflated with fall applicants due to theextension due to Covid fall students applied for Spring too because it took a while for them to hear back so most of those applicants applied for Spring even and most were accepted so the numbers are inflated.... plus if she wasn’t taking 7.5s shewould’ve said you need 7.6-8 to be accepted

After that info session, I am scared that I won’t get in with my 7.552
