Lone Star Spring 2021 ADN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

After a long setback (and a little family tragedy) I am ready to apply for Spring 2021. Since there's only two campuses that have Spring entry, is it prudent to apply to both? What I need to do is retake the HESI and wrap up this "A" in A&P 1. Admittedly, my first HESI was prior to taking the actual class (my overall was 89.6%) and I expect to fare better after taking A&P.

You will have a higher chance if you have taken A&P 2, micro, pharm, psychology. They look at all those factors too when selecting but mainly score out of 8.

I applied to Spring 2021 with a 7.552. KW first choice and CF second choice. It seems like a 7.552 is iffy for getting in during Spring.

Omgosh this is my exact score!! Fingers crossed and prayers up for us both!

I have taken all of those except pharm, but I got a B in them not an A. Maybe by me taking those courses (even though my grade was a B) it'll make up for my 7.4 admissions score.

Essentially in the same boat. I’ve taken them all with an A in each one. Fingers crossed. Regardless we should all be proud of ourselves!!

As Justin Darryl said, “We got this y’all!”

Yes. I think you will get accepted or even as one of the alternative on the list. I think you will get in. I got put on the alternative last year for Spring 2020 with a score of 7.24. I didn't take any of those classes yet but psychology from U of H. I had a B in English from U of H. I think they like my high school transcript plus impress with my HESI score. So you do get points for other factors too. My score was low and it was my first semester getting back into school just taking A&P 1 and still get accepted as an alternative
