It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

I think the HESI is important. Would definitely be a bummer for those who waited to apply before this in order to take it. Then again IDK the HCC process, are they just taking it at a later date? I’ve submitted mine so I’m overly anxious ?

Based on what I’ve read HCC is not waiving the HESI requirement. They are simply allowing applicants who have not yet tested to submit applications without HESI scores until a later date. I personally think the deadline has been extended for too long but I do feel like applicants who were already scheduled to take the HESI prior to the original deadline should receive priority when the testing resumes. Having already submitted my appointment this is nerve wrecking.

Yes like I’m annoyed I’m sooo ready to know if I got accepted or not . Like another whole month ... This gives those people a chance to apply when the semester is over still . So if you retaking A&P or English you got a chance to apply still. Making it even more competitive than what it already is... LSC wouldn’t be able to do it like HCC due to the HESI because they go by rank if everybody has a 4.0
Deadline has been extended once again; you now have until June 12th to submit your application! This application cycle is going to be even more competitive because more and more people have the opportunity to apply. This is becoming a serious pattern with Lone Star. The last few years they have either extended the deadline or pushed back sending out the acceptance letters.

I’m literally crying yo . Like I’m soooo upset . Right Now it’s about to be even more competitive because now these people can finish their classes ? ANDDDDDDDD we don’t have a bunch of time to get everything done . Like that’s so wack !! For only 3 weeks of people who waited till the last minute. My anxiety is through the roof . Yes they have . They have been delaying a lot . Last year they didn’t know anything till around the 12th. I feel like I can kiss Montgomery goodbye I know those 40 seats about to be gone ? . They finna have all these people applying now . I heard over 500 applications apply ?

I feel ya! I am just praying I get into one of the programs..any of them! But since testing centers are closed I can see why they are doing this.

I understood the last one since it’s through the April 30 but come on an additional 2 weeks . They haven’t extended deadlines for LVN so ... why keep pushing the envelope unless they plan on having a QUICK TURN AROUND.
There were only a few weeks left of the application period before we left for Spring break. Those who still needed to take the HESI Should have already had it scheduled, and If they didn’t I don’t believe they should be able to schedule to take it now. What’s the point in holding other students to a certain standard of completing their application requirements by a certain deadline and then extending it to accommodate the irresponsible ones who haven’t already scheduled to take the HESI?! If you had it scheduled- then you should be able to still take it. If you didn’t then that should be your own fault for procrastinating. And at the same time, this opens the door for even more people to finish a class this semester giving them the opportunity to apply as well. It’s not right at all! ?
