Lone Star Fall 2020

Published

It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.

I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).

Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

Do you think if you weren’t taking another class you would’ve been fine ? I’m sorry I’m asking so many questions I’m just trying to get a general idea of what I’m getting my self into. I know it’s gonna be hard but I’m scared and determined at the same time .

You’re fine I’m here to help. And yes!! if I wasn’t taken pharm I highly believe I would’ve been fine.

Hey everyone! I applied to the nursing program last spring with a score of 6.8 and didn’t get in (got a B in A&P). I retook anatomy this semester and I have an A as of right now and I got a 90.8 on the HESI. I’m applying to all campuses with a score of 7.632. I’m debating on retaking the HESI one more time to see if I can raise my score just a hair because last application period Montgomery took a 7.6 as their lowest applicant.

I hope that everyone gets into their campus of choice!

Less than a month to applications y'all! Good luck to everyone!!!

Be careful with that. The advisor that hosted the info session said not to do that because taking it the second time may decrease your score . So be careful I’m sure your score is fine . I thought about redoing it too because (I have 7.7)and she did say 7.6 was the cut off for last fall but as long as I get in some where I’ll be just fine . I’m sure we will both be a Montgomery. I believe in us !!

Do you happen to know what the class schedule is like for montgomery? Like what days lecture and clinical are?

Nooo that’s what I want to know. Lol I’ve got information from other schools like tomball and North Harris

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well! I am in need of some advice regarding which program to apply to. Unfortunately, I will be starting my nursing journey over because I am no longer in the San Jac nursing program (don't even get me started on why ?). I already have an associate's degree and a bachelor's degree; so, I am pretty much over school at this point and am ready to start my career as a nurse.

I'm a little worried about committing to another RN program and failing out again. Should I just do the LVN program and bridge later on? The only downfall to that option is my AP I will be expired by the time I bridge and I will have to take the Hesi again ?. Furthermore, I will have to buy all new books for the LVN program and change my whole thought process. I don't know what to do guys; please help!!!

I use to feel that way too because in 2016 I was in the lvn program but you can’t go in with negative thinking. I have my bachelors too and I’m going through Rn adn because I can pay for it out of pocket. Im determined to follow my dreams. If this is your dream you can’t fear it. Pray over it and face it. You will do great we will do great. Positivity is key

Hi everyone! I'm new!

I am taking A&P II (Cy Fair) in January, and will be taking the HESI once I'm done with the class. I have an A in both A&P I and ENGL 1301. I'm super worried about the HESI, but it's so nice to see I'm not alone!

Going to try to apply for the fall 2020 at Cy Fair.

Would appreciate any advice!
