Lone Star Fall 2020

Published

It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.

I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).

Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

I'm scheduled to take the Hesi again on January 16th because my previous score is no longer good. I can't believe I have to go through the application process again. I'm just ready to be a nurse already! Good luck to you guys; I wish you all the best!

Good luck on the HESI

Thank you!

Hello All! Im so excited to be applying for the nursing program!!

Does anyone know if there would be any night courses/hybrid courses going on in the nursing program? I heard Kingwood has a night option, but I hate to put going to school off another semester. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

I think that is only at kingwood. No other program has nights

I hope everyone had a great first day back! I have a question (non nursing related) but I thought some of y’all might know.
I started Medical Micro today and it’s a LOT to say the least. I decided to lighten my load and drop 2 other classes but I need to talk to an advisor about it. I don’t want a “W” and the Lone Star website says that you’ll only get a W after the “official day” and not the day classes start which I saw was January 27th on Cyfair’s site. Can I go ahead and drop the 2 classes without penalty (I know I’ll only get a 70% refund). Does anyone know if that’s the correct “official day”.
Thanks in advance!

As long as you drop the class before the official day of record it should not show as a W on your transcript.

You can do it! Which campus are you taking those two classes? I have two professors I HIGHLY recommend but they’re at CyFair campus

I’m taking these classes at north Harris! Which is my first pic school since it’s literally around the corner from my house lol.

what did you tell them When you requested for your hepatitis B shot? I want to be sure I’m getting the correct one done

I know what you mean! I’m in Katy do the closest campus to me would be CyFair ? look up - immunizations clinic (it’s located in Stafford). Just call them and let them know that you need to schedule an appt for a Hep B titer (quantitive) and they can help you with the rest! The name is literally “immunizations clinic” ?
