Hey everyone... who all is applying for next fall? Have you taken your HESI yet? What is your score going in? I still have to take my HESI but have an A in A/P 1 and am taking A/P 2 and Microbiology this fall. Also how did you study for the HESI??

Hey! I will applying for Fall 2021 to Long Star. Im taking my courses at CY-Fair. Im also looking into Kingwood nursing program as well. Im a taking A&P 1 right now. Planning on taking Pharmacology and A&P 2 Spring 2021. Im a pharmacy technician of 6 years so Pharmacology should be a breeze for me.
I did not take HESI as of yet because I want to brush up on my A&P knowledge first. It has been years since I've taken that course. (Im 33 years old ? ) As far as studying for the HESI, I've found different HESI study programs online that are useful.

I was recently told about using nursehub.com for studying have you checked it out ? There’s a code 50foryou to get half off.
I haven't heard about it but I will check it out. Thanks !

I haven’t taken the HESI yet. But I’ve completed all pre req classes with an A, I am BLS certified, and I have all my immunizations. I’m signed up to take Pharmacology online in the Spring through Kingwood with Bloodsaw. HESI is the last thing for me, and then I’ll apply.
I just finished an EMT-B class and will be taking the NREMT in January. I’m trying to become a PCT in the ER so I can work during nursing school and have my foot in the door at a hospital. My goal is OR nursing! And then I’d like to eventually get my Acute NP and become a First Assist.
I hope I get into Cyfair so I can finish in 18 months instead of 2 years.

Has anyone taken the HESI yet? I'm just curious to know how hard it is.
Does anyone know or does anyone have any experience with transferring any classes into te program?

I took it in 2018, and it was moderately easy. Usually people just have one or two subjects they personally struggle with and those should be what you put a lot of your time into. I used the pocket prep app, the elsevier study guide, and found some study facebook groups (can’t remember their names). Ill be using those again to study.
I heard that there are a lot of conversations on the math portion? Were they easy to get through?

Hi! Does anyone know how it works if I took A&P at a different school where lab and lecture are separate? I got an A in lecture and B in lab, and I'm PRETTY sure it's right if I just plug it into a GPA calc (plus an A in english) and that would be my score out of 4? If that's correct, that + my HESI would give me a 7.508 out of 8, can someone tell me if that's enough to possibly make the cut?
