Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

It showed up on your score sheet? I took mine way back in Feb. :/ And when I log in to apply my score sheet is all filled in except for HESI.

I'm so confused. Ugh I wish their office would open so I could call.

That's weird! Did you take it on campus? Definitely call. I took an anatomy refresher course and it never updated on my score sheet, so I just sent an email to the nursing dept and they had it fixed within a week.

Yes I took it at the Montgomery campus because that's where I've taken all of my prereqs, but as long as it's Lone Star it should show up, right? That was my understanding anyway. I've been calling but no one has answered yet even though I believe their hours are 9-1 today. :/ I'll probably go up there Monday as well. I just have this giant knot in my stomach right now! Lol

I don't think any of the campuses are open on Fridays during the summer. But yeah, I think it should still show up even at a different campus. I'm sure it's easily fixable. Good luck!

1172- Well it was exactly what I expected. We went in the lab room, watched 2 videos, and the professor answered any questions that we had. I'm so glad that my first day is over, but we have homework that, to me, seems almost elementary. We shall see though. We have a quiz everyday, and have online work to finish before thursday. Also, Thursday we have to give each others a bath, with bathing suits on of course. We aren't watching hair or privates, but she said that way it would show us compassion for our pts. I will keep all of you updated on how it goes this next week.

To those of your that are starting this fall for ADN, just out of curiosity what are the hours like for the 3 week nursing basics class that you have to take?

I think the last time I bought a bathing suit was 20 years ago. I hope they can deal with shorts OVER a bathing suit, lol.

I wonder how many students are going to miss class the day we have this assignment. I am alright with being in a bathing suit, but to have someone else so close to me. I am already feeling a bit uncomfortable.
