Lone Star College LVN hopefuls Fall 2019

Wondering who all applied to the LVN program with Lone Star College for Montgomery and Kingwood for this coming Fall 2019. I got tired of waiting on an alternate letter or rejection letter for the ADN program for M, T, CF, and NH. I wonder if they were waiting to submit letters just to see if we weeded ourselves out by applying to a different program. I was going to apply for the CF, K ADN program on June 3rd along with the LVN program but I was told we couldn’t apply to more than one at a a time.

Hi guys! I hate I didn’t get to meet any of y’all Thursday. But I remember her saying that she will most likely call Monday. Question: do any of y’all plan on working during the program? I have to I just don’t know if I will be able to.

I've personally met 4 people who worked during nursing school. One guy told me he worked fulltime nights and learned to live on 3 hours of sleep for the duration of nursing school. He's an ER nurse now. I don't think I could do it.

I plan on working. I just don’t know how I am going to do that just yet.

Best of luck to you. It definitely can be done. Others have done it and if you're determined enough, you can too!

Oh I definitely agree with you. I’ve saved up enough money to pay for tuition and most of my bills so hopefully It will all fall in place and I won’t have to. I’m gonna struggle not working if I’m able to quit! Lol I’ve always worked full time throughout degree. I’ll miss it that’s for sure! Lol

Hi Everyone,

I was one of the 24 originally accepted to KW. My score was 7.536. I was there Thursday and unfortunately, didn't meet one person who had a seat. Everyone around me was an alternate.

I have a few questions.....

Is there anyone on this forum that does have a seat? Has anyone get their blue card? Is there a FB group for our class?

I am in in the KW class! I do not know if there is a FB group. I got my blue card today. I did not have to go get my fingerprinting done because I did it a couple of months ago. Kingwood emailed and cleared me from getting it done. However, I did have to input my blue card on CB. When did you do yours?

Hi!

Im in the KW Class, I did my fingerprint on the 21st , but I haven’t received my blue card either. I was going to give it another week before I called to check on it. I don’t think we have a FB for our LVN class yet. Maybe someone will create one soon.

It normally takes about three weeks. When did you get your fingerprinting?

I told my husband today he needed to put the kids and I back on his insurance since I will be quiting my job if I get a seat, or I will just work PRN.

I did my fingerprinting on the 20th. We got our emails on the 18th to do it. Im assuming it should be coming soon. It may not be this week because of the holiday. So I'm also going to call after July 4th if I still haven't received it.

I just got a call from Kingwood. I GOT A SPOT IN THE VN program. WOOHOOOOOOO. Anyone else get a call?
