Lone Star College LVN hopefuls Fall 2019

Wondering who all applied to the LVN program with Lone Star College for Montgomery and Kingwood for this coming Fall 2019. I got tired of waiting on an alternate letter or rejection letter for the ADN program for M, T, CF, and NH. I wonder if they were waiting to submit letters just to see if we weeded ourselves out by applying to a different program. I was going to apply for the CF, K ADN program on June 3rd along with the LVN program but I was told we couldn’t apply to more than one at a a time.

Are the blue cards really small? Just making sure as I got a small card from CastleBranch today in the mail.

Are they suppose to have your middle name on it? “Full Legal Name”? I was trying to understand the “results” and didn’t understand it. Looked closer and it just has my first and last name with NMN (no middle name) as my middle name on the paperwork, but my blue card has my first and last name on it. Did I do something wrong?

It should be directly from the BON (not Castle Branch) and have their seal on the back of the post card.

It should read exactly, "Dear Prospective Nursing Student: The Texas Board of Nursing is in receipt of your Texas Department of Public Safety/FBI Criminal Background Check. Your file is clear. Thank you for your time and cooperation with the Texas Board of Nursing."

If yours says anything else, I would contact the BON.

I would assume no simply because it has cell phone capabilities and would be a possible distraction. But, never assume. I would email the professor from orientation (cant say name on this forum) or the director of nursing and ask.

I just looked at the front of mine and what I submitted to Castle Branch. Yes, it should have full legal name on it. The front of the post card should have the State of TX seal. The address label is white with your full name and address. It should also say, "CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK NOTICE" on the front in all caps. Hope this helps.

Are you talking about the list they gave us at orientation? or did they send you something? Is that the bundle the bookstore offers? Also, are you at M or KW??
