Today is the deadline and as of 12:00PM there are no apps being accepted, so they say :chuckle

Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting :no:, checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy :banghead:, biting my nails :D, at the edge of my seat :coollook:, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies! :up:

So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair? :bow:

If you are wanting to get into Cy Fair and you take Pharm at any other college, they will require you take the Pharm HESI and get an 850 on it in order for them to accept the credit. Your best bet is to just take it once you get in.

I read that too somewhere about waiting to take Pharm once in the program because all schools will not accept other schools Pharm without administering their own Pharm exam... not to mention that most make it extra hard so I have read....

I called the secretary today and she said that the same 6-8 week deadline does apply still, even though they changed the due date so we are looking at even longer :( That could be as late as November 24th.:crying2:

Hi all....

I'm currently a student as well. I just finished all of my prereq's and applied to Kingwood college..:wink2: I'm anxiously waiting by the mailbox for my letter...:no: As all of you, I'm hoping that they do no wait to send out the letters due to the extension given..

My score is 11.2596 :rolleyes: I'm hoping that my score will be good enough this year to get in..

This thread has had 313 views as of 937AM and we don't have that many people responding. Lurkers come on out so that we can support each other, we are potentially future classmates and it just may be cool to know each other or who is going to be in class with us before going into class :yeah:

I just wanted to updated the thread-

I spoke to the ex director Peggy Aauland of Kingwood and she said that she believes the letters will still go out first of November, I spoke to the secretary yesterday and she said that the letters will go out at the end of October, no denial letters have been yet and the cut off has not been established. If anyone hears anything different, please update the thread so that we can all be in the know. :smokin:

Thank you so much for the update...I had a question about last year's cut off..I read somewhere that at Kingwood it was 11.2..I was wondering if that was 11.20 or if anyone knew..I'm so nervous because I'm borderline with last year's cut off..:confused:

One more question they send out denial letters before the acceptance letters??

I don 't know what was the exact number breakdown but I know that it was 11.2, that's all the secretary and ex director told me. It seems to me that 11.2 has been the cutoff for the past two years but I may be wrong. When searching on this board I saw that someone that applied for the Spring either last Spring or the Spring before and got a denial letter like two weeks before the acceptance letters went out so maybe no news is good news for all us. Thanks you too. I keep checking as well, I even went as far as to call Cy-fair to see if their cutoff had been established but their secretary works part time and has not picked up the phone none of the times that I have called. Valerie at Kingwood is probably sick of me :chuckle
