Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!
I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol

My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!
And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!
Has anyone received there blue card from the BON? How long does it usually take? Do we only get one once we get finger printed? This is the first time I apply for a nursing program so not sure how it works.
Who got accepted into cy fair? I have a question about the TBON ..do we just download the paperwork to castlebranch and then we receive our blue card? On the acceptance letter it states they will be sending out more info on the matter but I have yet to receive anything in my email....I have everything uploaded and accepted but I'm worried about the DO and blue card thing. HELP
The blue card had nothing to do with CastleBranch. Once you go first for finger printing and then you receive the blue card later on; you will have to scan both sides and upload it into CastleBranch. That was what I did last year. I had clear background, so I don't know how it goes with DO?! Hope that helps clarify things little at least
I keep trying to schedule a time to get my finger prints done but but the system doesn't find me... I downloaded the tbon into castlebranch and the background form as well... So how do I schedule a appointment to fingerprint? I tried online it didn't work they couldn't find me with my social and info
I would call if there is a number available and find out how to go about it. As far as I remember, I was able to do it online and found a place close by where I live; I went and did the fingerprinting.
It's really weird but for some reason it was doing the same thing to me saying they couldn't find me by my social. I was using my computer. I decided to try it on my phone and for some reason it worked! So if you have a smart phone try that!

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I got my finger printing done on the 18th and I still haven't gotten a blue card in the mail. I know I don't have any criminal history whatsoever so I'm not sure what's going on or if I've done everything correctly. If it got lost in the mail, I would hope there'd be a way to find out if it's been sent at all and request they resend it.

How long after getting your finger printing did you get your blue card?
You should of received all this information at your information session and the next steps on when to contact the board of nursing to check on the status of your bluecard or request to have it resent if you haven't received it. I would say it took about 3-4 weeks for me to receive mine.
