2018 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls - Spring

Published

Hey there!

I wanted to start this page for anyone who is applying for the Spring 2018 Lone Star ADN or LVN program! I've seen previous posts, from previous years, and everyone was really helpful and encouraging to one another.

I am taking A&P 1 over the summer (starts 7/13) and then I will be submitting my application!! Im so nervous. I already took the HESI and got a score on 90.8%, which gives me and 3.6 on the point scale. I have an A in Eng 1301 and hope to get an A in A&P this summer.

In the fall I am taking A&P2 along with Micro (ugh). So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know!!!

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone 2MzmrmldDUluFszY4BeNRUhFw8YnK8nLzkBNSYABAA==

I applied to cyfair for spring 2018. I have an overall score of 7.84 . I got A's in English and A&P I and a 96 overall ony HESI. I spoke to an advisor a couple days ago and they are taking 50 at the cyfair location this semester.

Wow that's an awesome score! I applied to Cyfair too. Hopefully we hear soon.

So I emailed kingwood and cyfair at the same time and both responded. (I had to resubmit bc ferpa form was outdated, i hit submit again and was worried they didnt recieve the correct one).

Kingwood: Your application was received and completed. We have your correct FERPA form on file.

Cyfair: when your application is reviewed and accepted, you will then receive an email confirming this

So "reviewed and accepted" means actuall accepted into the program? or applying and getting confirmation?

Hmmm...??? Any advice?

So deadline has been pushed back to 9/22?

Wow, so we wont know anything until midoctober?

Pretty much. Since a few people had to do the HESI on dates that Hurricane Harvey caused the school to close. Wait, So Kingwood will not be accepting? To know only 50 people will be accepted means it's very cut throat.

Hey everyone. I was at a 7.4 and I just retook my HESI on Friday and got a 94.8 which bumped my score up to a 7.76. My first pick is Cyfair. I would rather go to Montgomery but I don't want to wait another semester to apply. Does anyone know how many applicants they accept? Also does anyone know when we are suppose to hear if we got accepted or not? I'm having a hard time getting in contact with the nursing department.

We'll probably be notified late October. It took about 4 weeks after the application closed last semester. And I'm pretty sure all campuses accept 40 students twice a year, except the North Harris campus. They accept 120 because they accept applications once a year in the Fall.

i have 7.4 over 8 with kingwood my first choice and cyfair my second choice, is kingwood still accepting ???

They accept 50 and Cyfair is the only one doing biyearly acceptance. The notifications still say September. This is the first time everything is online so I'm hoping it's right. I applied the first day so I've been waiting for forever.

Who is your micro Teacher?

I think Kingwood is still accepting. They said they were making attempts have a backup facility in case they couldn't actually have classes at Kingwood it first.

Who is your micro Teacher?

Susie Hsieh hybrid class. What about yours?
