2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough. :sorry:

6.52

I knew it wouldn't make it ;( next go around for me.

That's okay. :) Didn't hurt to try. Do what you can to raise your score and try again!

Sorry to hear that; if I do not get a call back from the alternate list, I will do everything I can to raise my score before applying again. I wonder why it takes them so long to call people from the alternate list when they have a deadline in place for people who intend to enroll.

No two B's unfortunately. In APII right now hoping for my A, and will retake hesi...

For all my Cyfair ADN fall students use #cyfair #nursing to find our Facebook page!

For the people who did not get accepted don't give up faith! Raise those grades to an A and focus on your goal! Never give up!!!

Does anyone know when they will start contacting alternates? The wait is literally killing me, I just want to be accepted already!

i heard it is usually not until after orientation

i heard it is usually not until after orientation

Well that sucks, I guess I should stop checking my email then!

But we as alternatives, were not supposed to pay for the drug test yet. It's only after we are officially admitted.

That's what I thought. The only thing I know we were to do for now as alternates, is to pay for the Surescan and submit the "Intent to enroll" document. I think everything else will be done after orientation. Please correct me if I'm missing something.

Wallaash Please don't give up. You will be accepted to the right school at the right time. NO NEGATIVE THINKING!!

I contacted the college and asked if we were supposed to pay for the surescan and I was told that we should wait till we receive the letter of acceptance. So this part, as far as I understood, needed to be skipped... :/

do anybody here will be at NH ?

I saw previously that someone was giving us advice since they were in the nursing program already. I was curious to know what was in the nursing pack they offer to sell us for $169 out first semester.
