Welcome to the forum ninaRN2018! I went to the nursing department and the counselor told me not to dare to retake the HESI .. Lol my GPA score is perfect and my A&P and Math scores on the Hesi were very high, the only area I could improve wound be the reading comprehension. However, I really don't believe I can do better in that area. English is my second language, and I don't believe I will be able to improve it in just 60 days. I am happy to hear that you are retaking your English class that will help you tremendously! What was your practice HESI score?
Hi there,
I am planning to apply for Spring 2017 @Cyfair.
I'm an international student and this is my first semester.
I am taking A&P I and ENGL 1301 and waiting for the final exams next week.
I hope I can get an A for both. I haven't taken the HESI yet.
As a preparation, I only took all the required vaccinations and TB test.
I have a B in a&p and an A in English. I did a " practice run" with the Hesi just to see where i could study from there... I got an 80 altogether score. Going to be retaking again within the next month just incase I dont do well again ill still have time to retake. My score is sitting at a 6.67 so i know i am NO where close to getting in at at all. Im thinking of re taking a&p to get an A because a&p2 is a bit harder & i barely made a B in it.
I was on the fall 2016 hopefulls thread & montgomery was 7.4 & above many of them were 7.6-8 scores! Making above a 94 on Hesi & As in both a&p & english. With Hcc closing nursing program it was & is alot of competition IMO by what im reading just on here. Just imagine the rest not on here.

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough.
