Loma Linda University Winter 2011

Published

Hi,

This is my first post! I wanted to see if anyone out there is applying to Loma Linda University School of Nursing for the winter 2011 quarter?? Or if anyone has had an interview or anything like that!

Thanks

Pipeline is for students who do not have a high enough gpa to get into the program so they are accepted through llu and take one or two semesters to take classes and then are guaranteed a spot when they cmplete their quarter. So I had questions about the wait list so I went in and asked today and their is a wait list with a spot reserved in Spring and just a regular waitlist. I am on the waitlist but already have a spot in spring so I am super excited since I know i got in. You can call and ask but its only a list and it does not say your ranking but Heather the admissions director might know.

Hey Christi, I'm excited for you. Congrats.

Hi Christi,

Are you on the pipeline waiting list?

Anyone else doing the pipeline?

wagirl,

Will you accept pipeline program if you can get in?

Yes. I have accepted. Though I was a little sad about it at first, I see light at the end of the tunnel. I will be in nursing school by March. That is better than waiting around. Just wondering if anyone else is in this program.

I'm on the regular waiting list and want to get on the pipeline waiting list.

Do you mind me asking why? I hope to see you come Jan 3. :)

Because I really want to get started this winter, and I know these classes will prepare me well for the actual nursing program in spring.

At first I was a little frustrated by the pipeline, but I think it will be helpful in the long run. Have you talked to LLU about switching?

I'm waiting for their answer.

No, I am not on the pipeline waiting list. I am on the regular waiting list with a a spot already reserved in spring in case a winter spot does not open up. I actually am lookng forward to the break before spring. Although the pipeline program gets financial benefits that I wish I could get like 1000 each quarter and a stipend. I asked about it but the program doesn't apply if you have good grades since it's set up to help students who need help getting into the program.
