Loma Linda University Pipeline Program

Published

Hey Yall

I was just wondering does anyone know any information about the Pipeline Program at LLU . I was placed in the waiting list for that program but I really dont know much information about it. Thank You : )

Yeah I was just accepted into this program and I am confused about it. I got excited because I thought I got into nursing school and it's not. They are asking me to retake classes to prove that I can do math, science, writing, etc. Isn't that what all my pre recs and degree showed? If you have more info, please share.

yea they are very picky my friend earned in BA in Bio.. like 10 yrs back and did their x ray program and he had to retake still math and some other courses.....

I know that Pipeline Program will guarantee a spot for Spring Quarter IF you pass all the courses in Pipeline with a B or better.

I am hoping that the pipeline is just the last hoop I have to jump through to get to my goal. I hope it gives me the oppertunities I need to better my chances in the BS program. Anyone else going to be in classes this Jan?

How did the pipeline classes go for you? Did you feel like it helped you and the tuition discount was worth the extra quarter of classes? I got accepted for the pipeline for winter 2012 and im in the process of getting my loans and everything. I would just like someones input who took the classes

Thanks!

I think that it was helpful. It gave me a spot into a great nursing school. I feel it was worth it for that alone. If you got into another school you have to look at the two. I don't feel the pipeline was life changing, but I'm in third quarter nursing and loving it. I would do it if I were you. If you have more question please ask. Everyone at Loma Linda is super nice and helpful.

Thanks! I agree everyone has been super nice and so far I'm set on going I'm just tried to get all the finances squared away. It just scared me about having to get B's in all of the classes I don't know or expect if they should be that hard to earn the Bs. Also are you working at all now that you are in clinical classes? I'm debating if I should try to still work

It is a lot of work but if you stay on top of it, its not so bad. I do not work and would suggest if you can not to work. It is a lot of busy work and studying so working makes it so hard. I hope to see you around. Good luck.

Hey Wagirl, I want to get into the nursing pipeline program at LLU. I wanted to know what the prerequisites are for this program? what are the chances of getting into this program? I do not have any other back up if LLU does not accept me. If you could get back to me, I will greatly, greatly appreciate it. : ))

Thank you, Hilda.

Hey Hilda, I just got accepted to the Pipeline Program at LL. It starts Winter 2014. the committee decides to place you there. You can ask the interviewer that you're interested in the program also.

Really? Wow, that is so good! I am so happy you got in! I remember reading one of your post where you said you did not get it the first time. I felt bad! I am glad you did not give up when you first got denied! You did it! :) I do not think I am going to get in. I did not do good on my TEAS. I am going to ask about the pipeline program as well. Do you think I can call the lady in charge of the pipeline program and ask her to interview me?
