Has anyone applied for Loma Linda's new grad program? I heard its starting next month but I have no idea if they even started interviewing people. I keep calling but no one is giving me an answer.

Aw bummer! I did not and have not gotten the email you're all talking about...I guess I'm out of the running
To all those that did get the email, are you all local to Loma Linda?
And could you give me the direct line to the RN recruiter? I guess I'll call and ask about my application status

I received the same email yesterday....so excited! I had Pediatric Cardiac/Transplant as my 1st choice. Now the waiting begins for the next step...an interview! Keeping my fingers crossed!
@ Lovepeacelove: I live about 30-45 minutes from the Loma Linda in San Bernardino. I live 5 miles from the new Loma Linda in Murrieta, but they aren't taking new grads yet
Congrats All! Let us know if anyone gets an interview!

I received the email as well. I called yesterday and the lady said to expect a phone call from now tell the 10th if chosen for an interview because they are hoping to hold all interviews between June 10-15. My 1st choice was hem/onc and 2nd organ transplant. Did anyone else put oncology down as one of their choices? I really hope they start making phone calls soon!

lovepeacelove: I live in Southern Cali - about 85 miles away from where Loma Linda Med Center is. I told them I was willing to relocate closer - if necessary. So, we'll see!

Poop. I live in NorCal, so that puts me lower on the list. I'm only seven and a half hours away from Loma Linda.
@newport456- I applied to heme/onc as my first choice too!
Little: don't give up I live in the SF BayArea and was still told I was a "very strong" candidate. My only real peds experience has been as a volunteer but hope its enough.

Did they speak to you personally about your application? - I know that you talked to them about switching options for your first choice. I obtained the e-mail notification earlier this week as well, but my first choice is the NICU. I don't know how to approach them about seeing where I stand.
@Colo9740 - I live in SF! Hopefully that won't be the deciding factor for us. I'd hate to not move forward based on where I lived. I don't have much peds experience either but I did my preceptorship at Children's Hospital in Oakland in the heme/onc dept.
HEY!! I live in PV, we are "neighbors"! Nice to meet you :)
I am bummed I didn't get the email that everybody else is talking about. I suppose I should email or contact the RN recruiter to find out why. I also told the RN recruiter that I'd be willing to move wherever I find a job...maybe I was overlooked because I put NICU as my first choice? Who knows.
Anyway, thanks everybody for your updates!
Part of me wishes I didn't know my application was forwarded to the manager...because I am going to obsessively check this forum like its going out of style. Even though I know there will be no new news at 9pm. Or during the weekend. But I still keep checking just in case there's something new!
