Loma Linda RN Residency In Peds March 2014

Published

Hello Fellow New Grads!

Just wanted to start a post for LLUCH's RN Residency starting march 2014. What unit did everyone apply? Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,

I just graduated from the last RN residency. I work on Stepdown ICU/Intermediate and we aren't hiring any new grads this round. Cardiac ICU is hiring 3 I believe. I really enjoyed the residency and learned a lot through the program! Good luck!

Anyone know how many people they are interviewing on Monday for NICU? How long are the interviews? I heard we interview with 3 different people. Do they all ask different questions? Super nervous!!! Eeeek good luck everyone!

Are you ready for your interview? What time is yours at? I'm loosing my mind over here hahahaha

Yup losing my mind too! I don't think I'll ever be ready. I'm so scared lol. My interview is at 830. How about yours?

I was offered a position in the PICU! So excited! Good luck to everyone still interviewing and waiting for a response.

Wow congrats on your position! I just finished my interview today. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck in the residency !

Hey guys, congrats to all those who got positions! I just got into the ADN program at RCC but I already have my eye on this peds residency program....I really want to be a peds nurse. What advice can you guys give me so that when I graduate I have a good chance at getting a position in this program? Thank you!

I just graduated RCC ADN program on December 11th. My advice to you would be to get involved at Loma Linda. My last semester in school I began working as a PCA on PICU and the experience was invaluable. I also volunteered in Child Life at Loma Linda before I attained my position. Good luck!

Congrats Lucy303 and pinklady!! Can't wait to start and meet everyone else in the residency!! Good luck to everyone still in the running !

What is the process for volunteering at Loma Linda? I would like to look into that incase I don't get picked up this time around. I really want to work at Loma Linda and I am willing to work as a PCA if it would increase the likely hood of getting hired in the future. How do you like the PCA position? Do they hire a lot of PCA's in the children's hospital?

Congratulations pinklady951!! How did everyone's NICU interview go?? Mine went OK, the wait to find out is already killing me! They said interviewing 20, hiring 6.
