Loma Linda Nursing Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone, I am applying to LLU BSN program to start in Fall of 2018. I just wanted to start a forum and see how everyone is doing, and help each other with updates.

I actually got a call from Dora to have my interview. Does every qualifying applicant get an interview or only the potential candidates to be admitted get an interview?

Thank you

I believe she went to the one in Ontario. I think I will probably call Loma Linda Thursday or Friday this week and see if they have made decisions yet since I was told they will meet this week.

The only other school I applied to was Chaffey for the 3rd time and I am on the alternate list but I really don't want to go there. My first choice is LLU so hopefully we hear back soon!

Chaffey is why lottery right?

Yes, Chaffey is completely lottery based, which I think is why it is so difficult to get in. You have to be lucky I guess.

í ½í¸í ½í¸ why does it have to be so hard to get into a nursing program

I have applied to Valleys nursing program 4 times now. I just finally got invited to take the HESI this time so my chances are looking better there, but I really want Loma Linda! This is my first time applying here though.

I just graduated from LLU this past December, was on an alternate list and was accepted for that same quarter.

If you haven't already, I would suggest getting to know the recruiter at the Loma Linda. Get a hold of her, she would be glad to review your application and classes. She can give you tips if you need to improve in any area so that your application can stand out (I believe this is one of the reasons why I was offered an acceptance)

It is very hard to get into a nursing program. I'm just so impatient. I can't wait to find out if I got in! If anybody calls LLU, let us know what they say!

Specializes in Operating Room Nursing.

Are you guys pursuing LLU BSN for your second bachelor's? Or did you just take pre-requisite courses and apply right away?

Second bachelors? I've taken prerequisites to get into the BSN program for my first bachelors degree. I didn't know you could have two bachelors degrees; I thought the next one up was a masters.

I am applying for MSJC, RCC and San Marcos as well, so far all of my applications have proceeded including Loma Linda. My top option is LLU then San Marcos because they both offer bachelors, the other 2 are just fall back plans in case of the worst.

This is my second time applying to LLu.. I retook my critical thinking test
