Loma Linda Nursing Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone, I am applying to LLU BSN program to start in Fall of 2018. I just wanted to start a forum and see how everyone is doing, and help each other with updates.

I actually got a call from Dora to have my interview. Does every qualifying applicant get an interview or only the potential candidates to be admitted get an interview?

Thank you

Question, did u guys apply for loans? if so how and where and what is the procedure? Im so late on this because I was thinking of just going to a jr college but now i want to be prepared.

I just submitted my fafsa to see where I’m at with that. But haven’t done anything more than that so I can’t say, but I’m definitely curious !

yeah i dont even know if i will qualify for that big of a loan! How much r we looking at now for LLU? I feel like it keep increasing every time i look into it. lol

Good question! I think we should definitely schedule an appt or phone call with someone in LLU financial dept and see what info they can give us. As well I’m curious to know scheduling for the quarter! @MyNameIsSammy @Katelynnt

Hello,

Just here to offer my experience with loans and such... I had to take out loans to pay for my entire education. I’m in 3rd quarter now but I had to take out private loans for whatever the federal loans did not cover. All of my loans are deferred, so I don’t have to start paying until I am done with school. It’s possible to go to LLU even if you think you can’t afford it, just like I did. I did have to have my husband co-sign for my private loans so having good credit is also a must for those. I think other places offer loans without co-signers, not sure though... Good luck!

May I ask how much total in loans?

I wonder what the stats were for the average GPA and TEAS score was

Sure... You do your Fafsa once per year and take the loans out as needed, so I’ve only taken out loans for my first 3 quarters, and I am in the process now to finance the next 3 quarters. Basically, it is costing me almost $40k per year so at the end of the program, I will have probably about $90-100k or so in debt.
