New grads:

Did anyone else apply to Loma Linda Children's Hospital's new grad program this past week? I just thought I'd start a thread for those that did, so we can keep each other updated as far as getting calls for interviews, preparing for the interview.... or, alternatively, commiserating about yet another rejection letter!

Yea I applied but after multiple rejections the past 6 months I don't get my hopes to high anymore:)

I applied too. We will see what happens but if these last 8 months have taught me anything, I'm still applying to other programs in the meantime. Waiting is the worst & I Have to keep proactive. Thanks for starting the thread!

I applied too.

I did too!

I wonder when they will start making calls.

Their website and previous posting experience says they will start making calls 4-6 weeks after the application deadline, so hopefully around 2/4-18 depending on department

Their e-mail that I got after I applied said two weeks. I'm hoping we hear from them by next week...that would be amazing!

Hi everyone!

Yup, I applied, too. :D I don't have much hope though. I just graduated and still haven't taken the NCLEX although I am scheduled for it very soon. There is so much competition and people who are already licensed and/or have their BSN have a better chance. I have no hope of being selected but thought I'd just try. I applied because it just felt right. I love kids and working as a pediatric nurse would be awesome. :yeah:It's one of my job goals.

Good luck to everyone! :heartbeat

Yea I started taking certification classes since I've Been receiving so much " pursueing better qaulified applicant" email...acls pals nrp etc...hope it helps :-/

Yeap, I just recertified for my BLS even though I had another year left on it. Got my PALS and ACLS certifications as well last month. Just missing the NRP I guess. Don't know what else to take to make myself look better when I start applying to jobs once I pass my NCLEX. Right now, I'm just concentrating on studying for my exam and taking classes to get into a RN to BSN program.

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh...!!
