Loewenberg Fall 2015

Published

Hey all! I was hoping to start a thread for those of us who have applied to the Loewenberg School of Nursing for the fall 2015 semester. I am a 26 year old mother to an awesome little dude. I have a degree from U of M in professional studies, but nursing school has always been my dream. My GPA isn't super great. It's a 3.15. I slacked off freshman year. I'm still hoping I'm competitive enough to get in! We shall see!

I hope you hear back soon! If not then Memphis is a great choice! When do you plan on moving?

Is anybody waiting for hear from any other schools before sending in the commitment form? I just heard that I was accepted to UTHSC and now I have to decide between the two :(

Oh you don't want to wear those ugly booger green scrubs at UT, haha. I kid, but seriously consider the facilities when making your decision. Loewenberg has a new 60 million dollar nursing building that is opening this summer. The fall 2015 class will be its first. It will be state of the Art. The sim labs will be the most advanced in the area. By the way, the new associate dean at Loewenberg actually left UTHSC for the same position at Loewenberg.

I'm sure both schools have their pros and cons and both facilities are very nice. But thanks for your input!

I just got into Union University Hendersonville campus..!?

I don't know which school to pick. Does anyone have any experience with Union?

Congratulations!!! Good luck on your pick!

Congrats!! No experience, sorry. Good luck on your decision!

Thanks, gals!!

AGray14, have you made a decision?

No not yet unfortunately. I visited UT today and was very impressed though. I'll be going up to LSON tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a decision made by Friday!

And there isn't anything on here about past classes of Union? I heard the Jackson campus was really good though..

There are tons of posts about Union but I was hoping to get some updated info.

I really like both schools..but I think I'm going to have to pick the one that is the most cost effective.

That's understandable. I'm sure you'd be happy at either school!

To those who were accepted into UM LSON, did you apply to the accelerated program or the traditional program? Also, how hard was the application process and how hard is the program now that you are in it?
