Loewenberg CON Fall 17 Traditional Program

Hi, thought I would make a discussion for those of us applying for the fall of 2017 to the traditional program at the University of Memphis. I've seen several for the accelerated, but with the deadline only a week away, I figured it might be nice to meet future classmates.

What was your stats the last time you applied if you don't mind me asking

3.56 science gpa

3.0 overall

-applied for traditional in the spring

accelerated for the fall

I talked to someone in their first semester and she she said it was 140 of them this past spring

I was in that orientation as a volunteer. That place sits 150 and there was at least 30 seats empty. We have people sitting in the floors in classes now. People fail and take up space in the next semester's group. You guys should hear something very soon. All Advance Summer school acceptance letters went out yesterday. Oh and my friend got into Lowenberg with a 2.8 overall GPA. Don't lose hope

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for that information!! It's so scary because there are SO MANY applicants and very LITTLE seat space. I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed for the best. My overall GPA is a 3.5. I pray that I am good enough for this program. Congrats to your friend for getting in! I was told so many horror stories I just want to know my fate already as far as my application goes lol.

Dang thats crazy...im definitely more nervous now....fingers crossed!! Oan i took a tour in the building monday and wondered why some students were sitting on the floor even when their were seats available ...guess thats one reason why

I'm really starting to wonder if they haven't already sent out all the acception letters/emails. still no update

I thought the same I thought to myself, "Maybe they are still sending people their individual acceptance letters?" I couldn't seem to come up with anything that validated that solution to that question so I just settled for "I don't know". Lol. I feel bad for rushing LCON but I just want to know already lol. I wish I could just know I have had butterflies all week so far and I can't sit still. I don't know how I've been falling asleep the past few nights with all the anxiety I am feeling about all of this lol. You would think they would go ahead and send out the rejection letters as well I mean if a person didn't get in no sense in waiting to tell them that so they can so start thinking about reapplying or switching paths, you know?

exactly. It doesn't make any sense at all. I would think too that they would send them all at the same time
