Loewenberg CON Fall 17 Traditional Program

Hi, thought I would make a discussion for those of us applying for the fall of 2017 to the traditional program at the University of Memphis. I've seen several for the accelerated, but with the deadline only a week away, I figured it might be nice to meet future classmates.

Has anyone heard anything

Nope application still says under review. Who said we would be hearing anything? The school?

Are you in the program or do you go to Memphis?

I am in the program-I graduate in December. They don't take 150 students anymore. There are not enough seats for that anymore.

One of my professors told me they met to finalize the incoming class this past tuesday. So you should probably know this week. Good Luck!

Just called the school and she said we should hear something the end of the month so keep checking emails

Hey everyone!! im also applying for the fall 2017 this will be my second time applying...my overall is a 3.6 and my science is a 3.3 i really hope i get in this time around its so nerve racking waiting...i hope we all get in!

what was the reason you didn't get in last time because your gpa seems to be real competitive

Yeah it does seem competitive because I knew a couple of people that got in with 3.4, did you finish all classes? Me too it's too nerve wrecking

Hi everybody! I have also applied to LCON before. My academic advisor advised me to do so even though I had some pre-reqs to complete and my science GPA did not meet the requirements. She told me when I applied again my application would be looked quickly because of the fact that I am a previous applicant. Well, of course I did not get in. My overall GPA was a 3.7 then but my science was a 2.1. Now my overall GPA is 3.5 and my science is 3.0. I am so shocked to hear they do not accept 150 students anymore. I am praying for you guys as well as myself. I'm sure you all are intelligent and beautiful minds. Best wishes!

p.s. When I applied before LCON sent me an email saying they had received my application and that it was under review and when students could expect to hear something. Not this time though. It is very nerve wrecking lol.

Well when i first applied my overall was like a 3.3 and my science was a 3.2 or 3.3 i think....so i feel more confident this go around. They just need to come on with these emails! Lol
