Living off CNA salary.

CNA's in RI typically make around 24k a year; could I live off of that in an apartment and still go to college for my ADN-BSN?

Where do you live?

What is the cost of living there?

How frugal are you?

What is your basic needs budget?

What are the costs of tuition, books & fees of your school of choice?

Are all of those items payable with your CNA's pay?

RI.

1kish per month

not very

1k or so per payment

basics would be around 2-3 hundred per month for food and such

gas would be around 40-50/mo

Again, do all of those budget basics add up to a reasonable living scenario? I'm not going to do the math for you. That is your responsibility.

Based on your expenses, and the fact that you have admitted you aren't frugal, OP, definitely not. You cannot live on 24k/ year.

I made almost 45 k before I was a nurse and that was a challenge while I paid for school. Cost of living was high in my area, and my rent then was 1100/ month.

You are in southern New England (Rhode Island), which is not exactly the most affordable location.

Surviving off an annual income of $24,000 would be an uphill battle unless you shared your living quarters with roommates to offset the living expenses.
