LIU brooklyn fall 2018

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for LIU brooklyn BSN students of FALL 18. I will be starting my nursing/clinical phase in September 18 and I was admitted as a transfer student. Is anyone starting around the same time? Also, if you're a current student, is there any helpful feedback or advice you can provide for new students? How is the clinical experience? Professors? School in general? etc.

Hi All. I'm doing the part time nights and weekend program for fall 18'. I know orientation is the 29th...does anyone know what time it begins?

Hey did you have to sign up for the orientation? When I signed up for classes my advisor didn't say anything about the orientation and I didn't get any emails which is weird.

Hi guys. Just an FYI : the book we need for pharm is on sale on amazon for 80. However the book store has it for 115. If you go to the book store they will match the price for you on the spot. I'm not sure how long it will be that price on amazon because it wasn't that price yesterday.

Hi everyone! I spoke to the person in front desk at the nursing school today and I was told that apparently the orientation was cancelled for the 29th and they will send an email with updated information. I'm not sure what's going on. Did anyone else hear about this?

I just saw an email in spam and it says the orientation is on Sept. 4.

Does anyone know if the orientation is for all new students or just the nursing students? And has anyone purchased the scrubs? Was it difficult to get a good size match? Thank you!

I didn't receive an email about orientation but online it says Sept 4th is new student orientation I thought ours was specifically for nursing. I accessed blackboard with the myLIU login but it doesn't say anything how do you know what books are needed for pharm?

I just saw the email about the Sept 4 orientation in my spam folder. I assumed they would send it to the official liu email but it was sent to my personal email. I thought there would be a separate nursing orientation as well. Maybe we get separated into the different majors at the big orientation.

You can see the list of books for each class if you go to Student Center on myLIU and look under class schedule. There should be a highlighted link on the top of the page. Unfortunately my list is blank because they don't have anything for section 4 classes.
