Hello,
What is the passing scores for Lippincott 11ed Q&A?..I am taking the NCLEX-RN for the 3rd time..I was very closing to passing last time, I ran out of time
Based on my report: 3 Above passing, and rest Near passing
My scores are in the CD:
Med surg: 60-77%
OB: 88-100%
Peds: 60-80%
Psychosocial: 60-80%
I am planning to do the Comprehensive tests 1-6 in this book and Saunders 5th ed CD before my test...For this third time, I am ONLY doing questions..I am planning to take it the beginning of April..what do you think is the best way to prepare this time around based on my report?
thank you for your help!! :)

You are obviously doing well! U only need to learn a few relaxation techniques and come up with some personal mantra like 'I can do it" or something to boost ur confidence.. Saunders is good for review any day but the questions are too easy, I guess they are designed to test your knowledge base not to prepare you for NCLEX styled questions.. Ensure you listen to the audio part, very helpful bit.. Also, I recommend NCSBN, it has over 1000 NCLEX styled questions... All the best!
NB: If you believe in God, pray like you don't and read like you don't pray :)...
thank you for your reply...I have done ncsbn questions on my second attempt (scored 50-70%), I will review my notes from it..I may probably skip Saunders and do Kaplan qtrainers one more last time instead..So far I love Lippincott q&a!...so far I have done their CD (1300 qs) which I find them very helpful and more challenging than Kaplan..I feel so much relaxed on my timing and strategies. I know I will pass next time:)

It's under "PERFACE" subtopic "USING THIS REVIEW PACKAGE FOR PREPARING FOR NURSING EXAMS" where it has mention that "if you answered more than 75% of the items in an area correctly, you are most likely prepared to answer questions in that area on NCLEX-RN"
Good luck !!
thank you;) yay!!!

If you have time after doing all the kaplan qtrainers. I recommend the PDA by LaCharity. As I have posted before, I think the questions from this book helped me the most for my Nclex test. I passed with 75 questions and I had many questions on delegation and prioritizing ( which patient I should see first). PDA book helped process out which patient are not in life threatening situation and can be eliminated from the choices. Good luck and keep praying !
yeah definitely Lacharity was very helpful...I have finished taking Comprehensive tests 1-6 from Lippincotts book ---63-70%..Hope its enough to pass...I absolutely drained...I have some energy to finish reviewing my notes.,..I have covered close to 3000 questions...now, I am just going over Saunder's cd sata between reviewing notes....Pray for me my test is next wk!!.....thank you for your suppor:):)

Don't forget to do some alternate style questions from the Saunders Disc..............SATA and drag and drop.
I don't know what to think after scoring 63-70% on Lippincott's tests 1-6..I hope I can PASS this exam this time around..Saunders SATA are much easier than Lippincott's sata q's..I am scoring from 68-76% on NCLEX 4000...qTRAINERS 1-7:63-73%..The rest is on God's hands..Now I am just reviewing only labs/ekgs/rationales..I need to give my brain a break from questions...My test is next wk..I have faith that everything will workout at the end..Good luck to everyone who are taking the test next wk:):)

On 3/19, I took the NCLEX-RN..I PASSED with 110 questions..after 5 wks form my 2 attempt..close to 5000 questions and reviewing tons of rationales..after having determination, hard work, and focus on my goal, and having faith is what kept me pushing forward on this journey...Lippincott and Hurst is what help me to pass and definitely doing as many questions as you can after reviewing a topic at a time..be focus, make sure to read EVERY word on the questions, make sure to come up with your strategies...I had 17 SATA, 3EKGS, 2 MATH, 1 Sequence order, 3 pics, and many infection, prioritization...May GOD continue to bless you all!!!...thank you for being there for me...:)
