Linfield University Fall 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, everyone.

I am currently applying to the Pre-Licensure BSN program at Linfield as a transfer student, and am hoping to get a sense of where I may stand as an applicant. My college GPA is a 3.56, and my nursing prereq GPA is 3.50 for Linfield. What is really dragging my nursing GPA down is Chem101, which I am retaking Spring2021. I also have about 300 clinical hours as a CNA, and am also double majoring in Spanish.

If anyone has applied/attends Linfield, would you mind sharing your stats upon applying to the program and if you were accepted? I was also wondering if anyone knows if Linfield will still calculate the old Chem101 grade in my nursing prereq GPA as the retake would be in progress.

Thank you so much!

I heard back from Linfield about the login credentials and they let me know we would be getting our login information closer to May 1st.

Thank you for the update! Looks like we both got to keep on waiting ?

I got waitlisted from Linfield. Anyone else?

Well this honestly sucks.. I was hopeful they would had at least some space for transfers.

I'm also on the waitlist for the program. I signed up for the info session on the 27th, I think that will be really helpful though to get a better understanding of everything going on.

I wish they let us know what number we are on the waitlist. I don't see a lot of hope for waitlists to get into the program this Fall. With that being said I'm thinking of starting my application for Spring 2022.

Don’t give up hope! For the Spring term, they let around 20-30 people off the waitlist. It’ll be less for Fall term but there’s still hope. I was waitlisted and am finishing up my 1st term at Linfield. Don’t give up on Linfield- it’s been such a good experience so far!

Thank you for responding. Linfield is one of my top choices. I got into phase two for MHCC and CCC. If all goes well my second choice is MHCC. I'm sure both programs are great ?

Hi! You said you signed up for the info session on the 27th. I couldn't attend that session and I signed up for a different one listed. Did Linfield say anything important that you think is worth mentioning? I'm curious!

Hi! Yes, there were some big takeaways from the info session. The most important thing to know is that there are two different waitlists; one for current Linfield students and another for transfers. Since current Linfield students are automatically accepted if they meet the qualifications and had more applicants than normal, they said a few times they do not see themselves pulling anyone from the transfer waitlist for acceptance for Fall 2021. Definitely hard to hear but I am glad they were very transparent about this process.

The other information they provided were some tips to grow as an applicant between now and applying for Spring 2022 should you choose to still apply.

Thank you so much! It's nice to know that they are giving tips to grow as an applicant. Any news from your other nursing school apps?
