Hi, everyone.
I am currently applying to the Pre-Licensure BSN program at Linfield as a transfer student, and am hoping to get a sense of where I may stand as an applicant. My college GPA is a 3.56, and my nursing prereq GPA is 3.50 for Linfield. What is really dragging my nursing GPA down is Chem101, which I am retaking Spring2021. I also have about 300 clinical hours as a CNA, and am also double majoring in Spanish.
If anyone has applied/attends Linfield, would you mind sharing your stats upon applying to the program and if you were accepted? I was also wondering if anyone knows if Linfield will still calculate the old Chem101 grade in my nursing prereq GPA as the retake would be in progress.
Thank you so much!
Linfield sends you an email that reads:
“Thank you for applying to the Linfield University-Good Samaritan School of Nursing. Admission decisions will be released soon. In order to prepare, please access your Linfield Admission Portal using the credentials below” you make a profile and then can see a webpage stating you have applied. This is where you will see if you’ve been accepted/put on the waitlist/ or haven’t been accepted.
I highly recommend searching in your preferred email for any messages from Linfield University because their emails go to “promotions” file or “junk” file often.
I’m a first semester student right now and the waiting game is reallly hard. Make sure you are getting all the emails!
let me know if this helps!

Thank you for the information! I never received any information or emails regarding the new update, so this was very helpful to know! I reached out on how I can receive my login credentials for the application portal.

Hello KayK! Please let me know when Linfield reaches out to you about the login credentials for the application portal as I also haven’t received any new emails yet.

Hoping for decisions to come out today, but I do know that because of the number of transfer students applying compared to current Linfield students, we could found out anytime between now and May 1. But I'm still finding myself checking my email often (so nervous!). Best of luck to you!
