Lincoln Tech LPN Program - Paramus, NJ

I was thinking about going to Lincoln Tech for their LPN program part time. I work 40 hours per week and I have a 1 year old daughter, so their schedule of 2 nights during the week and clinicals every other weekend really fit with mine. However, I wanted to know - do your classes transfer to colleges if you decided to continue on for your RN? Right now I'm completely fine with being an LPN, but eventually I might want to pursue my RN and want to be sure all the time and money spent was worth it. Also, if you are/were a student there, how has your experience been? Have you learned a lot? Did you feel prepared to go "out into the world" as a nurse so to speak? Thanks in advance for any information you could give! :shy:

I did not go there but no my Lpn credits will not transfer because I went to a trade school, it was state accredited but by the NLN which is another mine won't transfer to my bridge program. I am essentially starting from square one to get my RN but due to my Lpn license I have the option of an accelerated course only offered to those with a Lpn license.

I did not go there either; however Practical nursing and professional nursing (RN) have different tracts as far as scope, so we may have the same classes, but once you are in your senior level of classes in a ADN or BSN program, the prioritization/delegation interventions change a bit, so that's why you still "start from scratch" theoretically, yet can challenge fundamentals and intro to nursing.

My credits were worth 5 (per year I was a LPN) and I had the option of challenging fundamentals and into to nursing and health assessment. I decided not to, although redundant, I learned more strategies, and strengthened my base as a nurse.
