  1. Look into Holy Name Medical Center School of Nursing .. They have an LPN and an RN program. They are very different from the for profit schools
  2. Holy Name Medical Center School of Practical Nursing does NOT follow this model. Their NCLEX pass rate has been high enough that they have not need to give an exit exam or use these ATI exams for progression through the program . This is a solid school that has been around for a long time (about 35 years I think). They just started having evening programs also. Well worth looking into!!!!!!!!
  3. Did you think about Holy Name Medical Center's evening program ?
  4. A really great program...so much better than Allied or Dover or one of the others!!!!!!Give them a look at their web site http://www.holyname.org/SchoolOfNursing/lpn_program.asp
  5. Check oot Holy Name Medical Center...2 Nursing School, Both an RN and an LPN program and really close to NYC. http://www.holyname.org/SchoolOfNursing/lpn_program.asp
  6. Check out Holy Name hospital School of Practical Nursing!!!!! GREAT PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Remember....Look into the differnt programs !!!!!!!! 1. NCLEX pass rates 2. Graduation rates 3. Do you have to take an exam (HESI) just to get out of the program....there is a reason WHY !!!!!!. 4. Student/Instructor ratios..all of this is very very important and can make or break a school.
  8. Try Holy Name in Teaneck NJ..Great School
  9. I'm at Holy Name and It's great check out my other posts
  10. The going rate for all the schools seems to be about the same...but what you get for your money may be very different!!!!! Beware of those schools that are businesses. They take in loads of students and the pass rate/graduation is very low is comparison. There are loans out there. I'm at Holy Name and I love IT!!!!!!!!! :nurse:
  11. Holy Name is GREAT!!!!!! There is a wonderful LPN program and a well regarded RN program. There is currently no wait list, they only run one program at a time and that begins in each September. They have info online at http://www.schoolofnursing.info Hope this helps !!!!!!
  12. Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck NJ has day care. I am past the age that I would use it, so I can not supply the costs
  13. The very best LPN program in NJ is at Holy Name Hopital !!! The HoHokus and Allied schools are buisnesses. They take in lots of students and only a small percentage end up graduating and then a smaller number pass the NCLEX-PN Board exams. There is no waiting list, they have one class a year, and the teachers are dedicated and wonderful. From what I heard from a friend the teachers at HoHokus are very difficult to understand, they can not SPEAK ENGLISH well. Good luck
