Hello all. This is my first post. Im an EC nursing student. I need to ask some advice from anyone who has taken the lifespan developmental psych exam. Any words of wisdom? Any advice, notes or insight would be great. Im studying my butt off and want to score well on the exam. If anyone is in the Ft Lauderdale area as well, please feel free to contact me if.you are doing the program as well. To my fellow RN students, best wishes and happiness in our journey to become RNs. :-)

Thread moved to Excelsior College forum. Did you print off the exam content guide? That is the basis for the exam including breakdown of the topics tested.

I took this one last year and studied with studygroup101 and the practice exams from excelsior. The exam was not bad at all and the practice test questions were seen again but worded different. Best of luck!

Hi nursemami, did you use the text book to study as well? I just ordered the textbook but am now realizing its like 400+ pages, that's not going to get my anywhere! I'm not sure what exactly to look at and study, any insight would be great, Thank you!

Some people like to use the text as pages/sections are referenced throughout the content guide. Others are successful with SG101. Yet there are others that are successful using the online resources and books they already have on hand.

Just took lifespan psychology and passed with a "B" so relieved! it was a tough test. I used the content guide and study group 101. I took the test in study group 101 and on the content guide then studied up on the questions i got wrong, which worked really well for me. know your theorist, theories, and area of expertise esp Erickson, Freud, Piaget, Vygotsky. lots of questions about what cognitive stage someone is in, postformal, formal, operational etc. Good luck!
