I just took Repro and got a C. Actually I have gotten C's on all 3 exams, H/S and Chronicity. I would like to get a B on Lifespan 1. What are your thoughts or study tips for this exam? Thanks Cissy

C=degree! You are passing and that's what matters!
LS1 is a whole new ballgame, different type of material in the LS exams than in the Essentials exams... lots more critical thinking. I used Saunders review for all of them.
Saunders sounds good to me although my version is from like 2004. I have used it though for both Repro and Chronicity. I have also used Studygroup101 notes. I only used the Fundamentals text book out of required texts for the H/S exam. I'm so glad I did not go crazy buying required text books when I can use my old LPN nursing books. thanks for the insight!

We are talking about "Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX RN Exam 5th Edition" right? Its a big yellow book. I want to make sure I have the Saunders that everyone is talking about.
I used an older version, mine was 3rd edition, but yes it's the Comp Review we are talking about :-)
I'm actually just starting to study. I just hope i will be prepare by Aug 19. I will use Saunders, TCN module and Studyguide 101.

Saunders is great!!! I also used Chancellors Study guide as well. I recommend looking at a A&P book, and going through how the heart works, then review the diseases. Good Luck!!

I'm in this same boat--moving on to LS1 next and no idea where to start. I was going to DL SG101 notes and use my Med/Surg book, but what material to study? It looks like all of cardiac/esp disorders/meds and also abnormal cell growth? As in cancer. Can anyone confirm this info is coect and give me some tips for studying? Thank you!!

BostonNurse~ the best thing to do is print out the study guide, it will tell you excatly what you need to focus on. It's great that you have the Med/Surge book the guide will tell you which chapters to read.
Good luck!!!!!!!!
