Okay...I am hoping some of the previous graduates from Ohio University online RN to BSN will tell us how there career/life/attitude has changed since receiving their BSN!! Let us know.

No real change in my life or career since getting the BSN - though I've only officially had the diploma for a few days. The job market in my neck of the woods fell apart just when I finished nursing school several years ago. This made it impossible for me to get one of the formerly plentiful PT nursing gigs that I planned for (I'm the sole financial support in the family and my job pays significantly better than nursing, so I could take a FT nursing position even if could find one). I continue to volunteer on the ambulance crew with my local fireco (I'm also an EMT) and enrolled in an ACLS course next month, to be followed by PALS shortly thereafter in the hope that they may help get me a PT nursing job in the unlikely event an ED position opens up. Retirement any time soon is not on the cards for me.

Well, after finishing OU everything changed for the better. I got tons of call backs and had several job offers. All thanks to Chuckster and me finding his very long and detailed thread. Thank you Lord and all the support I received from this thread

Im working in the ICU and intend to apply to CRNA school when I have a year experience. I am curious to see how non traditional programs completed at traditional brick and mortar institutions in a different state will be viewed by CRNA programs.
