Hi, Everyone
I have a question today I received a flyer in the mail and it mentioned that they pay RN's 38$/hr. Is this possible that's a lot of money most of the hospitals here in Tucson don't pay that much. Does anyone have any experience at any of these longterm care facilities. Thanks.

I just got a job here in Spokane for a Life Care Center. I am getting $25 an hour without benefits (my choice). The working conditions are a joke, and they have very high turnover from what I have heard. I worked the last three days, 8 hour shifts, and have not had a break or lunch yet, and I cannot finish charting until I give report. I am looking for another job.

I have a friend who is a new LPN and he seems to like it. He had problems with the patient load (it seems pretty heavy), but stuck it out. He is a new grad LPN finishing the RN portion of the program as we speak.
Actually, I plan to apply there when I pass the PN exam. Wish me luck (or give me warning ).

I worked at a Life Care Center facility in Tucson a few years back. They are a nursing home company, not a hospital. The pay is bad, and working conditions were horrible. Two of my former co-workers sued them for not paying them money they were owed and won.
I counted how many nurses came and went in the year I was there. It worked out that the nurse turn-over rate was 200 % a year!

I did a week of clinicals at a Life Care facility in Glendale, AZ, and was appalled by what I saw. They offered me and my classmates jobs, but none of us wanted to work there after what we witnessed (patients sitting in excrement for hours, excessive bedsores, etc.)
