license verification for visa screen

hello allnurses,

I am new in this forum, I would like to seek for your help regarding registered nurses license verification for visa screen purposes. I am outside United States and I will be needing the visa screen to complete my requirements for employment and immigration.

However I tried to research and found nothing on Texas BON website regarding this procedure. My original NCLEX is registered in CABON but was endorsed to Texas.

Visa screen by CGFNS requires all licenses issued by the homecountry and in United States. I tried to email texas bon thru the address posted in their website but there was no response. I tried looking for answers in other forums and blogs but have found nothing.

I hope you can help me, kindly enlighten me. Thank you and more power.

Hi silverdragon. I have the same situation from others. My nclex has been endorsed from california to texas. To which state should i verify my license? Tried to email both but no response. i have read from other post that they send their form to califronia but the bon cali just send it to texas. Thanks

You can use either to verify pass in NCLEX. If you have a license from CA then use them if you have no license from CA then use Texas

Hi guys, i am new in this forum and will be glad to have advise from anyone who happen to have an idea with my situation. I am a filipino RN and I applied for a RN license in Calif BON in 2007. During my application I took and pass the NCLEX March 2008 and received an NCLEX pass letter. Unfortunately I don't have SSN thats why I was not granted a license and then I got endorsed in SAIPAN BON (CBNE) and got a RN license in March 2012 but presently expired.

Now I am applying for a Visascreen certificate but when I requested Calif BON to verify my NCLEX, they said it can not be verified anymore because it was transfered to other BON and they Don't have any records left. I requested Saipan BON for my NCLEX verification since July 2015 but up to now despite of numerous follow up, CGFNS have not receive the required document.

I would like to have advise from anyone on what is the best thing for me to do. My CGFNS visascreen application already expired, I currently hold a valid Texas license and i think its my only proof that I have a passed NCLEX. The NCLEX pass result is the only requirement i need for the visascreen certificate, i have provided all other requirements including my Texas license verification but CGFNS still requires the NCLEX. Please help me.

If you have a Texas RN license then that is proof that you passed NCLEX and should be all you need

hi silverdragon and thank you for the advise but despite explaining to CGFNS that my Texas license verification can serve as proof of having a passed NCLEX they still insist that I should have the verification from Calif. I was thinking if CGFNS needs to have a verification from Calif, do you think its a good idea if i will have myself endorsed to Calif?. In this way, i think will regain my records with Calif and they can now issue a verification. Please advise

CA will verify your pass in NCLEX for a small fee without you having to endorse.

Good day Silverdragon, during my first verification request with Calif i sent $60 together with the form. In their reply, aside telling me that they can not verify because it was transfered, they also told me that any fee sent is non refundable.

Well many others have done it before but then I think there is no reason for CGFNS to accept any of the states as long as you have a license because you can not get a license without passing NCLEX

No fees are refundable in CA. Which state did you transfer your nclex pass results to? That's the state that would be able to verify that you passed the NCLEX

They explained a couple of posts back Texas but for some reason CGFNS will not accept Texas but want CA to verify pass in NCLEX despite Texas issuing a license

After rereading the post that's because they had the NCLEX pass results transferred to Saipan not TX. They endorsed from Saipan to TX.

The issue is Saipan is a apparently one man operation and as such significant delays in processing and replies. Hence why many think easier to process = faster. Very much not so as demonstrated here
