License renewal in California

Nurses General Nursing

Are any of you California nurses having any delays in renewing your RN license. Yes, I waited to the last minute and submitted my renewal 5 days before it expired online and got a receipt for my payment. So daily I would check and it would say pending. The day after the expiration date it said delinquent. When you call state board you can NEVER get through even if you start calling when they first open. The stressful thing is I can't wrk and now suspended by my employer. Has anyone gone to Sacramento to get their lincense? HELP!

I had the same problem with my renewal in 2014. I even posted on it. I will try to link my post if I can find it. This year I didn't have an issue. You might look up your license just like you are checking anyones license not in the Breeze area you may see the new expiration date of 2018. That's how I saw that I was current and about a week later I got my license in the mail.

Thanks. I hope you can find it. Time is money. I'm wondering if I have to fly up there, or will it be a waste of time and money.

I can't find my previous posting. But in 2014. I applied in early July, my credit card was charged, I paid the credit card bill and I realized in early August I had never received my license and it wasnt updated online. 't was my first time using the " not a breeze" system and of course I couldn't talk to anyone on the phone. I feared I was going to have to drive to Sacramento to take care of it.

I ended up emailing [email protected] and within 3 hours it all got taken care of, there was some glitch.

However try going to breeze verify a license area and see what the date of your expiration says. This is what I did this year. The renewal went smoothly this year for me. You can always take a screen shot if it is renewed but you just don't have the hard copy of your license yet.

I renewed online this July and mine went through super-fast. Within a few days, the new expiration date was posted online. It took about two weeks to get the new card in the mail, though.
