Hello, just wanted to let everyone know it is possible to get license with criminal back ground!!
... loooong story short I had had a bad childhood and ended up being arrested a few times... turned my life around went back to school and am now an RN!!!
...SO 1ST... they did NOT find my adult expungement (contrary to what many people said!) But they did find a juvenile battery ( a teen girl fight) which I am now getting expunged as well... Morale of the story... GET EXPUNGEMENT IF YOU CAN!!!!
...2nd.. is it nerve wracking..yes... But I did get approved... I had to send "court dispositions" which there were none of because I was a minor and never went to court for this arrest ( just signed out by family) along with a letter stating that I had turned my life around ...
3rd...It did take a while longer ( I waited about 6 weeks longer than my non criminal history peers
To get approved) but I now hold a license with no restrictions!!!
.... don't let people discourage you.. U CAN DO IT!!!! I hope this helps some ( very nervous and worried) people because I was once where you are!!!!

When you say they didn't find your expungnment, can you elaborate? I am in the process of getting my record expungned but I have heard that it does not help. I would hate to waste the money.

Hi there! I am in my 3rd semester of my nursing program and have started the process a few months ago but have become very discouraged and upset lately. Ive read so many positive and negative stories on here! I just tonight posted my whole story in hope to find someone who could give me some advice. We have similar case where I had bad childhood/ family life and I made really bad mistakes when I was 18/19. I am almost done getting everything expunged. I was arrested quite a few times but only have 3 official charges of misdemeanors. I had felonies that were completely dismissed by the judge or 1 that I was found not guilty. So when you applied to the BON you didn't mention your adult charges?
